2.42pm: Clyde-Smith hammered by Gavin
Fintan Gavin is back in the driving seat with 2,075,000 as we go into the break. George Clyde-Smith opened for 45,000 in early position and was called by Gavin in the next seat along.
Clyde-Smith c-bet 57,000 into the [9s][7c][6h] flop and Gavin moved all-in, setting Clyde-Smith all-in for his remaining 370,000. Fold.
We're now taking a 15 minute break. -- RD
2.34pm: And then gives them to Ward
From under-the-gun+1 Jamie Dale min-raised to 40,000 and Thomas Ward called from the button.
The flop was [Ah][Js][10h] and Dale c-bet 52,000 only for Ward to make it 123,000. Dale tank folded and said: "That might look bad on TV," to which Ward said: "You fold ace-queen?" a raise of the eyebrows and a smile from Dale indicated that Ward was in the right ball park with his guess. -- NW
2.32pm: Dale takes some from Gavin
Jamie Dale checked the turn and river of the [4h][5c][jc][5c][7d] board probably hoping to induce some action from chip leader Fintan Gavin. The Irishman was not forthcoming.
Dale had c-bet the flop after raising pre-flop and Gavin had called. At the river Gavin declared ace-high, it was not good enough. Dalle showed down [qs][jh] to scoop the pot. A small dent in Gavin. Dale up to 800,000. -- RD
2.22pm: Brown takes one from Gavin
Fintan Gavin got the action started by raising to 43,000, Craig Brown was the only caller. On the flop of [3d][Jd][Kh] Gavin c-bet 55,000, call from Brown. The turn was the [9d] Gavin fired again, this time 125,000, call again from Brown.
The river was the [4c] and both players checked with Brown showing [Ah][Jh] to win the pot Gavin flashed [A][Q] as he mucked. -- NW
2.18pm: Another double for Ward
Thomas Ward has doubled again after shoving aces for 364,000 over the top of a Rob Swindells 42,000 open. Swindells requested a count and then made the call.
Ward: [ad][ah]
Swindells: [kc][qc]
An ace-cracking hand for sure but not with a [ts][6d][th] flop. The [5d] killed the hand, Ward up to 750,000. -- RD
2.12pm: Hawksby gets one through
It folded to Andrew Hawksby on the button and he raised to 45,000, then Craig Brown three-bet to 95,000 from the big blind. This was the first hand I can remember Brown playing since they combined at one table, certainly his first three-bet.
Back on Hawksby he moved all-in for around 550,000 total and Brown gave it up. -- NW
2.08pm: Ward doubles through Dale
Thomas Ward has just shoved all-in from the big blind for 178,000 over a Jamie Dale raise. Dale made the call.
Ward: [k][j]
Dale: [qc][9c]
Ward flopped trips and turned a boat. He's now up to 380,000, still somewhat down on his opening stack of 1,288,000. -- RD
2.02pm: Antonis Poulengeris takes one down
He's been fairly quiet since nine-handed play started but Antonis Poulengeris just sprung out of his slumber with a meaty check-raise.
He'd defended his big blind after Andrew Hawksby raised to 44,000 and on the [6d][9s][2c] flop Poulengeris check-raised Hawksby's c-bet of 57,000 to 207,000 total.
After Hawksby folded Poulengeris said: "I was hoping you had an overpair, I flopped a set." -- NW
2pm: Dale double, Ward left in tatters
Thomas Ward just got it all in against Jamie Dale with the latter calling off his stack with [ad][qd]. Ward held [kh][9h] and was far from pleased to see Dale calling.
"How do you have a hand there?" said Ward rocking back in chair with exasperation.
The board ran out [as][4s][kc][3d][6h]. Dale up to nearly 900,000. Ward must be left with around 200,000. We're having to follow the TV monitors alone so there are plenty of guesstimates going on from our side. -- RD
1.50pm: Fintan five bet bluffs
Chip leader Fintan Gavin is laying the smackdown at the moment. He just five bet and forced a fold from George-Clyde Smith.
The latter opened to 44,000, Gavin three-bet to 110,000, Clyde-Smith made it 180,000, Gavin made it 375,000 and after a dwell and a look back at his hand Clyde-Smith let it go and Gavin showed [T][8] off-suit. -- NW
1.43pm: Dale moves all-in...
After a raise from Andrew Hawksby to 44,000, Jamie Dale moved all-in for 399,000. Next to act Rob Swindells asked for a count and tank folded, it passed back to Hawksby who also released his hand. -- NW
LEVEL UP: BLINDS 10,000-20,000 ante 2,000
1.40pm: Gavin bashes up Dale
"You're a sicko, a total adrenaline junkie," said Fintan Gavin to Jamie Dale.
Gavin had just check-raised Dale off a [4d][6s][tc][4h] board from 147,000 to 360,000 and had forced a fold from Dale.
Gavin climbing towards two million now, Dale down to 420,000.
"Pick on someone else. I'm too old for that craic," said Gavin.
Strange that, we were pretty sure that Gavin was the lunatic here. -- RD
1.35pm: Letham leverages stack
From the button Kevin Letham made it 37,000 to play, then from the big blind Jamie Dale three-bet to 94,000 total, Letham made the call.
On the flop of [7h][8d][As] Dale checked to Letham who bet 120,000 and Dale gave it up. -- NW
1.27pm: Swindells pushed back by Brown
Rob Swindells opened and Brown, who seems to have been snug so far at this feature table, three-bets to 180,000. Swindells passed. Understandably no-one wants to make a big mistake at this point. -- RD
1.20pm: Jamie Dale doubles through Thomas Ward
From under-the-gun Andrew Hawksby raised, Jamie Dale moved all-in for 399,000 with pocket eights and Thomas Ward then isolated all-in with [Ad][Kc], forcing Hawksby to fold.
The [10d][7h][3d] flop kept Dale in front and the [8c] turn sealed the deal. An inconsequential [9c] hit the river, Dale up to 800,000, Ward down to 650,000. -- NW

Play is underway. -- RD
12.52pm: Wanner out in 10th, final table set
Clyde-Smith is running good this afternoon, he's just knocked out Alexander Wanner to set the final table - his third scalp of the day. Chip counts and draw to come.
Wanner shoved 170,000 with [js][8s] and was called by Clyde-Smith with [ac][7c]. Neither connected with the board and Wanner was sent to the rail to collect 3,150. -- RD
12.42pm: Hawksby, dive!
Andrew Hawksby just cold four-bet shoved for 452,000 over a Jamie Dale small blind three-bet and took the pot. Hawksby up to 580,000. -- RD
12.37pm: Swindells swinging
After losing that pot to Antonis Poulengeris, Rob Swindells has started using his larger stack to good effect. He's twice three-bet and once four-bet all-in to chip up to around 1,100,000. Good pressure, good hands or both? -- NW
12.32pm: One more to go
One more player to go before we break the outer table and go nine-handed. -- RD
12.26pm: Kirk out, Clyde-Smith growing
George Clyde-Smith is up to over 500,000 after knocking out Alan Kirk, his second elimination of the day. Kirk shoved [5h][5c] and Clyde-Smith found [js][jc]. The hand held and Kirk was sent to the rail. Kevin Letham moved to the feature table to balance. -- RD
12.20pm: Poulengeris flops a set
Antonis Poulengeris has just flopped a set on the outer table to win a pot of around 300,000 from Rob Swindells. -- NW
12.16pm: Devine first out
George Devine is the first player out here today falling on the second hand of play. Devine got it in with [as][td] and was looked up by George Clyde-Smith's [ah][8h], the two shortest stack going to war. Clyde-Smith caught an eight on the turn and Devine was sent to the rail. Eleven players remain. -- RD
