Quite a few Team PokerStars pros would drop their $215 buy-ins for the tournament but only three were among the 495 players that cashed. Pierre "zoutechamp" Neuville (493rd place, $309.39) would squeak into the money, as Richard Toth (351st place, $349.75) and Liv Boeree (349th place $349.75) found a little more dough but no late runs for the Red Spades this evening.
Down to two tables saw a lot of talent piled up near the final table finish line. Aussie delaney_kid had a 2010 SCOOP Main Event-High final table (ninth place $94,095) on his resume but while short could not slide [Jh][8h] past the pocket treys [3h][3c] of mr.salgado30 after flopping an open ended straight draw to finish in 16th place. I_M_ICM would not be asking for an ICM chop at the final table, unable to recover after running tens into ch0ppy's queens, and the 2010 SCOOP Event #31-M final tablist (fifth place $35,805.50) settled for 13th place ($3,026.70).
goodvibe1 watched winiels take the remainder of his stack in 12th place ($4,035.60) after pockets tens [Tc][Ts] fell hard to winels' [Qd][Ad] after winels flopped the world [Ac][6d][2d] and the one-outer failed to appear. Another big-time final table rounder, goodvibe1 frequently hits the weekly Sunday Majors round up board, and had a shot at a WCOOP bracelet last year, placing ninth in Event #55
No second major victory for javahound tonight as he would have to settle for SCOOP watch on his wrist after taking down Event #16-H for $60,000.00 Kameleont served up a nasty bad beat with a flopped straight holding [5d][4d] to javahound's pocket rockets [Ah][As] on the [6d] [3s] [7d] [Qh] [7s] board. 11th place and $4,035.60 is a far cry from those five and six figure payouts just a few steps away.
While we raced through several eliminations to get to the bubble, breaking it would prove a little more difficult. Over fifteen minutes later we would name our final nine. With the blinds at 65K/130K ante 13K ch0ppy sitting in the big blind would not wilt to Kameleont's 1.3 million chip small blind push. All cards live as ch0ppy turned up [Kh][8h] and Kameleont showing a small ace [5d][Ac]. The ace would not catch the board, the king would [4s] [Jc] [7d] [Kd] [2d] and Kameleont , with a couple of Sunday Warm-up final tables to his credit, would not make it tonight finishing in tenth place ($4,035.60).

Despite coming into the final table as one of the larger stacks, ch0ppy would hit the wrong side of a massive 11 million chip preflop flip with mr.salgado30. After big slick failed to overtake the pocket jacks of mr.salgado30, ch0ppy went from a healthy 6.3 million chip stack to just under a million. Five hands later the former Turbo Takedown champion would suffer a river bad beat, getting queens [Qd][Qh] versus el canbass' [Ts][Td] all-in preflop and the [2d] [Jc] [4s] [5d] [Tc] board did not help any recovery measures as ch0ppy took home $5,380.80 in ninth place.
River of gold not needed
After several all-ins by the short stacks, it would take 20 minutes for our next two competitors to hit the road nearly back-to-back. First, NhPokah tried a little aggression in the hand below:
The open shove from the small blind did not work too well as rivgold sensed it coming and was ready to spam the call button holding pocket kings [Kd][Ks]. Despite flopping an open ender, plus a pair on the turn with [Js][6s], NhPokah failed to connect on the [9c] [8h] [Tc] [6h] [3s] river to claim eighth place ($8,407.50).
Two hands later with the blinds still at 100K/200K ante 20K cep27 tried open shoving from early position for 1.9 million chips but got looked up by el canbass holding [Ac][Js]. cep27's [Ad][Th] had kicker problems made impossible after a jack hit the turn [5c] [Kh] [3d] [Jh] [7s] ending cep27's night in seventh place ($15,133.50). Team online pro Adrienne "talonchick" Rowsome wished cep27 a good evening and asked if the Brazilian was going to join the weekly Women's Sunday tournament next week.
Not just a can of ass, a can of Whoop-Ass!
el canbass turned up the heat at the final table after the five minute hourly break after crossing the ten hour mark of the tournament. After snagging a 6.8 million chip pot off former chip leader mr.salgado30, five hands later the Czech Republic rounder had someone else in his crosshairs. With the blinds steady at 100K/200K ante 20K el canbass min-raised from UTG as winiels three-bet to one million in the cutoff. Back to el canbass who four-bet to 6.3 million putting winiels all-in to call, holding pocket kings [Kh][Kd] the decision was easy as winiels made the call, comfortably ahead of el canbass [Ah][4h]. Ahead that is, until an ace hit the turn and river [7d] [5c] [3h] [Ac] [Ad] leaving another empty spot at the final table after winiels lost in sixth place ($21,859.50).
In need of detox
Action got hot in a hurry in the 100K/200K ante 20K blind level as we already eliminated half the table and shortstacked StrungOut1's chips found their way into the middle preflop. Shoving from the button is usually a decent move, but in this case mr.salgado30 with a sizable 6.3 million chip stack in the big blind was able to make the call of StrungOut1's 1.8 million chip shove with pocket sixes [6h][6c]. StrungOut1 holding a suited king [Kh][3h] was not able to find enough hearts or a king on the [7c] [Js] [Ah] [5s] [Ac] board shutting down StrungOut1's run at the final table in fifth place ($28,585.50). This did eclipse the eighth place StrungOut1 earned at the Sunday Million last November ($18,865.00)
Call me Mister
Perhaps the pivotal hand of the final table as the blinds moved up to 125K/250K ante 25K as mr.salgado30 and rivgold got to the river with 4.2 million sitting in the middle and [Ah][8c][Ks][5s] on the board. Watch below for the river card:
rivgold would check as mr.salgado30 put him to the test with a shove on the [2c] river that covered rivgold's stack. Holding [Ad][Jd] rivgold made the call and had to be distraught to see the flopped two pair [8s][Ac] and rivgold's avatar left with fourth place ($38,674.50) as mr.salgado30 raked in the 11.4 million chip pot.
Sour grapes
itsourekas, fairly quiet on the table, managing to stay ahead of the blinds with a double up, was unable to continue those shortstacked ways. On the very next hand after rivgold's shine was diminished, itsourekas tried to go toe-to-toe with mr.salgado30 all-in preflop. Eight million chips in the middle as itsourekas flipped up [4c][Ac], slightly ahead of the also suited [5d][Kd] of mr.salgado30. The gamble was on, but only mr.salgado30 would walk away from this one as a flopped pair of fives beat out the ace [9h] [Qh] [5h] [Qc] [8s] and itsourekas took home $55,489.50 in third place.
Small difference, easy acceptance
mr.salgado30 held a small lead going into heads-up play and wanted $90,000 to deal, but el canbass was able to stick to his guns eventually the two agreed on the original figures given by talonchick.

Yep, score another big win for Brazil as the 14 minute heads-up match was very lop sided as mr.salgado30 took the lead with a big 15.5 million chip pot, then closed out the match running off nine straight wins including the final hand below:
[9s][Tc] of el canbass missed overtaking mr.salgado30's [Ah][7s] on the [7c] [3s] [2h] [Kd] [Kc] board and took home this week's Sunday Warm-up title earning the extra $10K for a total of $98,299.20!
