The chip leaders as we head into the dinner break are: Craig Brown (77,000), Ian Kibble (64,000), Rhys Jones (60,000), Andrew Hawksby (58,000) and Christian Palm (52,500).

6.30pm: Nash up
Paul Nash is one of the players in the running for UKIPT player of the year and he's doing himself no harm here in Edinburgh. The Brummie is up to 37,000 and looking zoned in, Beats by Dre headphones locked onto the top of his head. We've only got three stops left this season, including this one, and we'll start taking a closer look at the leaderboard towards the end of this tournament. -- RD
6.18pm: Big chips from the big names
Former world champ Chris Moneymaker is battering his way through this UKIPT field with a 44,000 stack. Hot on his heels is triple crown winner Jake Cody with 43,000 and EPT winner David Vamplew isn't far behind with 33,000. Although there is certainly some great value in these tournaments that is not to say you can't find yourself with some stiff opposition. -- RD
6.05pm: Near treble up for Burland
I just saw UKIPT Season One Brighton champion Jamie Burland win a large pot and nearly treble up. From under-the-gun+1 Georg Beiske moved all-in 4,325, Burland flat called on the button and William Paxton did likewise from the big blind.
This was already a fairly chunky pot and it swelled further as Paxton led for 7,225 on the [4s][8d][2c] flop, Burland shoved for 14.425 total and Paxton called the extra, on their backs.

Burland let out an audible sigh that signified that although he was ahead he had a few outs to dodge to win both side and main pots. The turn was a blank [7s] and the river a close but not close enough [8h], Burland back in business with around 45,000. -- NW
6pm: Bouncebackability shown by Boeree
Football manager Iain Dowie once said that Crystal Palace Football Club had shown 'great bounceability' after equalizing against Arsenal. It's a quality that Liv Boeree is showing right now having got back up to 20,000. According to her twitter (@liv_boeree) she's 'having a lot of fun... yoyo-ing like a yoyo.' What else are you going to yoyo like? -- RD
5.50pm: Eliminations increasing
Sunil Moti, Craig McCorkell and Jeff Duvall are among the players that have most recently fallen. We have180 players left from a starting Day 1A field of 242. -- RD
5.40pm: Enter the ante
The little green chip takes on a new significance with the entry of level 6. It becomes an ante chip, juicing up each and every pot. The aggressive players will chase them and the timid will be eroded by their departure. Get raising. -- RD

5.33pm: Boeree battered by a magic turn
Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree is down to 11,000 after being forced to fold by Hamidreza Montazeri. Boeree had led 1,800 from the big blind into a [6c][ts][5d] flop and was called by Montazeri. Boeree then opted to check-raise the turn from 2,850 to 7,000 and obviously wasn't expected a shove. All-in for 18,500 and Boeree was left quite literally scratching her head.
She passed and Montazeri flashed the [4s]. What are the odds on the other card being the [6s]? -- RD
5.25pm: Hill climbing
Tour regular Mike Hill has a stack of 42,000 in front of him and he was kind enough to tell me how he got it: "I three-bet pre-flop with [10h][9h] and flopped the second nuts on a board of [K][Q][J]. He bet, I raised and then he shoved, I tanked for about four minutes before calling and he had two pair and my straight held. -- NW
5.10pm: Spinks the sphinx
Jon Spinks comes here off the back of a cracking WSOP. Two fourth place finishes contributed to around $200,000 in prize money for the West Country boy. He's sat nursing 18,000 after tank folding a 6,100 shove on a [ad][kd][ts][9h] board. His opponent, Thomas Hall, had check-raised from 700 to 2,900 on the flop in a four-way pot. Spinks had called but not matter how long he stared at the turn he couldn't find a call for the turn shove. -- RD
4.58pm: Exits
They'll be no back to back UKIPT final tables for Alex Ferguson, the ninth place finisher in Brighton has taken a one way ticket to bustoville. Rachael Costa is another early exit on Day 1A -- NW
4.53pm: Burland bounces back
"Better be lucky than good sometimes, tweeted UKIPT season one champion Jamie Burland. "Double twice when crushed 18k."
4.50pm: Boeree has best seat in the house
I caught up with Liv Boeree on the break and she told me: "I've got 19,000 but I might just have the best seat in the house. The player to my right is beyond aggro and is trying to win every pot, so I'm just waiting." - NW
4.48pm: The Moneymaker machine
Team PokerStars Pro Chris Moneymaker's solid start had pushed him up to 37,000 but after "two brutal rivers" had dropped down to 7,000. With half his starting stack gone I thought it was time to get some World Champ railing in before he bust. I shouldn't have worried.
By the time I arrived at the table at the end of last break Moneymaker was back up to 16,000. He was soon up even more winning the next three hands back to back.
Hand one: Moneymaker opened to 525 under-the-gun and was called in one position before Alan Fitzpatrick shoved all-in for 6,500. Moneymaker quickly made the call showing [8d][8h] to Fitzpatrick's [ah][kh]. The board rivered a boat for Moneymaker. Up to 23,000.
Hand two: Three limps reach Moneymaker in the big blind who checks. Moneymaker check calls 500 on the [ad][js][2s] flop against early position limper Sunil Moti. The American check-called 575 on the [7s] turn before both players checked the [9h] river with Moneymaker outkicking Moti with [as][8c] to [ac][6h]. Up to 24,500.
Hand three: Moti limps under-the-gun and picks up one caller before Moneymaker pumps it up to 800. Both limpers call. Moneymaker c-bets 1,100 into the [jh][js][qc] flop. Both fold. Up to 26,200.
